It combines a universal AC input with three USB-A ports and two USB-C ports, making it suitable for smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other USB-powered gadgets anywhere in the world.

The standout feature is the 45W USB-C Power Delivery and Quick Charge 3.0 port, which can fast charge compatible laptops like MacBooks and Dell XPS, as well as the latest iPhones and Android phones. The additional four USB ports provide 2.4A each for simultaneous charging of multiple devices, reducing the number of chargers you need to pack.

Build quality is solid with a compact form factor (2 x 1.8 x 3 inches) weighing only 5.9 ounces. The adapter includes four interchangeable plug types (Type A, C, G, I) that slide securely into the unit. Safety is addressed with an 8A fuse (a spare is included), plug lock, built-in shutters, and FCC/CE/RoHS certifications to protect against shocks and short circuits.

A key drawback is that this adapter does not convert voltage, so it cannot be used with high-wattage 110V-only devices such as hair dryers or curling irons. Additionally, only one of the two USB-C ports offers fast charging; the other is a standard 5V output. Some users note that the plugs may feel slightly loose in certain outlets, though this is not a widespread issue.

Safety is a priority with a replaceable 10A fuse and spare fuse included, along with safety shutters to prevent accidental contact. It also meets RoHS, CE, and FCC standards, giving users peace of mind.

However, it's important to note that this adapter does not convert voltage. It is not suitable for high-power appliances like hair dryers or curling irons, which could damage the adapter or the device. Additionally, the lack of a storage bag may be a minor inconvenience for those who prefer to keep accessories organized. The fuse may also blow if you exceed 10A, but the spare fuse and easy replacement process mitigate this concern.

Overall, the EPICKA Universal Travel Adapter is a reliable and versatile solution for travelers who need to charge multiple devices abroad. Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Compact and lightweight for easy portability
  • Integrated surge protection for device safety
  • Lock switch ensures stable connection
  • Compatible with five major outlet types worldwide
  • Very affordable compared to similar adapters

Cons

  • Does not convert voltage, so only works with dual-voltage devices
  • No USB ports, requires separate charging cables
  • Only one device can be plugged in at a time
Detailed Review

The BatesChoice Universal Travel Adapter is a must-have accessory for anyone who travels internationally. Designed to work with outlets in the USA, UK, EU, Australia, and India, this compact adapter lets you charge your devices in over 150 countries with a single unit. It is especially suited for budget-minded travelers who need a reliable, no-fuss solution for keeping their electronics powered on the go.

Standout features include built-in surge protection that shields your devices from dangerous voltage spikes, and a clever lock/unlock switch that holds the plug securely in place. During testing, the adapter stayed firmly connected even in looser sockets, eliminating the frustration of a slipping plug. The compact design, measuring just 1.4 x 1.4 x 1.9 inches and weighing 3.2 ounces, makes it easy to stash in a pocket or small pouch without adding bulk.

Build quality is solid for the price point, with a durable white plastic casing that feels sturdy enough for regular travel. The sliding mechanism for selecting the correct plug type is smooth and clicks into place confidently. However, it is worth noting that this is a plug adapter only, not a voltage converter. You must ensure your devices are dual-voltage (most modern chargers are) or use a separate converter for high-wattage appliances.

One potential drawback is the lack of USB ports, which means you will need to carry your own charging cables and possibly a multi-port USB charger if you have several devices. Additionally, the adapter accommodates only one device at a time, so for simultaneous charging you may need multiple adapters or a power strip. These limitations are typical for adapters in this price range and do not detract from its core purpose.

Overall, the BatesChoice Universal Travel Adapter delivers excellent value for its low cost. It combines essential safety features, broad compatibility, and a portable form factor that frequent travelers will appreciate. If you need a simple, effective way to plug in your electronics across different countries without spending a lot, this adapter is a smart choice.

However, it does not convert voltage, so devices must be dual-voltage. It also lacks surge protection, which may be a concern for sensitive electronics in areas with unstable power. Additionally, the 70W total output might be limiting if you need to charge multiple high-power devices at once.

Overall, the MOMAX 70W GaN Universal Travel Adapter is a reliable and versatile companion for anyone who travels frequently. Its fast charging, broad compatibility, and safety features make it a great investment for keeping your devices powered anywhere in the world.

The UGREEN 45W 6-Port Universal Travel Plug Adapter is a compact, all-in-one solution for global travelers, offering fast charging for phones and laptops with its GaN technology and swappable pins that work in over 200 countries. Ideal for frequent flyers and digital nomads who need reliable power without bulky converters.
Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Compact and portable with foldable pins, easy to store and travel with.
  • Fast 45W charging capability for smartphones and laptops, reducing downtime.
  • Universal compatibility across 200+ countries with simple slide-and-switch pins.
  • Robust safety features including GaN technology, flame-retardant materials, and protection circuits.
  • Six outlets in one adapter, eliminating the need for multiple chargers.

Cons

  • Does not convert voltage, so incompatible with single-voltage appliances without a separate converter.
  • 45W max power is shared across ports, so charging multiple devices simultaneously may reduce speed.
  • No USB-C Power Delivery (PD) support beyond 45W, limiting fast charging for some high-power laptops.
Detailed Review

The UGREEN 45W 6-Port Universal Travel Plug Adapter is a must-have for globetrotters who want to simplify their charging setup. Designed to work in over 200 countries with swappable pins, it eliminates the hassle of carrying multiple regional adapters. This compact device is perfect for business travelers, vacationers, and digital nomads who need reliable power for phones, tablets, and laptops.

Standout features include 45W GaN fast charging, which can juice up an iPhone 18 or Galaxy S26 Ultra to about 70% in 30 minutes, or a MacBook Air to around 40% in the same time. The six ports (2 USB-C, 2 USB-A, 2 AC) let you charge multiple devices at once, though max power is shared. The foldable, retractable pins make it ultra-portable at just 3.48 x 2.05 x 1.22 inches, sliding easily into any bag without snagging.

Build quality is excellent, with a flame-retardant PC shell and GaN-II chip that keeps the adapter cool during use. Safety features like automatic shut-off and safety shutters add peace of mind, and certifications from CE, FCC, and UKCA ensure compliance. The sliding pin mechanism feels sturdy and clicks securely into place, though it may require a bit of force initially.

A key drawback is that this adapter is not a voltage converter, so it only works with dual-voltage devices (100-240V). High-wattage appliances like hair dryers or curling irons need separate converters. Also, when multiple ports are used, charging speeds drop, so it's best for topping off rather than full-speed multi-device charging.

Overall, the UGREEN 45W 6-Port Universal Travel Plug Adapter offers excellent value for its price. It combines world-wide compatibility, fast charging, and compact design into one reliable package. For anyone tired of lugging around bulky adapters, this is a smart investment that streamlines travel charging.

Universal Travel Adapter Buying Guide

Plug Coverage and Region Compatibility

Start by matching the adapter’s plug types to your destinations. The Ceptics adapter (Ceptics 45W universal travel adapter) lists Type A for Japan, the United States, Canada, and Mexico, Type C for Europe, South America, and parts of Asia, Type G for the UK, Ireland, Singapore, and Hong Kong, and Type I for China, Australia, and New Zealand. The EPICKA adapter (EPICKA universal travel adapter) states it works in over 200 countries and regions, but its listing says South Africa and India are excluded. The MOMAX adapter (MOMAX 70W GaN universal travel adapter) lists compatibility with 224+ countries and regions across Types A, C, G, and I, while the UGREEN adapter (UGREEN 45W 6-port universal travel adapter) covers 200+ countries with swappable pins for Types A, C, E, F, G, and I. The VINTAR adapter (VINTAR 30W universal travel adapter) and the TESSAN adapter (TESSAN universal travel adapter) each list over 150 countries; the VINTAR listing says it does not cover Type D/M outlets used in South Africa, and the TESSAN listing says its universal outlet does not accept South African plugs. The BatesChoice adapter (BatesChoice compact universal travel adapter) focuses on USA, UK, EU, and Australian outlets. Since country counts vary between listings, verify that your specific destination’s plug type is included.

USB Charging Power and Ports

Charging output is where these adapters differ most. The Ceptics adapter (Ceptics 45W universal travel adapter) provides 45W total across three USB-A ports rated at 2.4A and two USB-C ports, with one USB-C supporting Power Delivery and Quick Charge 3.0. The MOMAX adapter lists a 70W maximum output, and its listing says USB-C1 can deliver 70W on its own and mentions charging 65W laptops. The VINTAR adapter lists a combined USB output of 30W (5V/6A) over three USB-C and two USB-A ports, while the TESSAN adapter lists a combined 20W maximum across two USB-C and two USB-A ports. The EPICKA adapter includes three USB-C ports at 3A and two USB-A ports at 2.4A, plus one AC outlet. The UGREEN adapter offers 45W fast charging through two USB-C and two USB-A ports, along with two AC outlets. If you want to compare charging standards, read USB-C travel adapters explained.

Safety Protections and Fuses

Five of the seven listings mention fuses to guard against overloads. The Ceptics adapter has an 8A fuse with a spare included, plus safety shutters and a plug lock. The EPICKA adapter (EPICKA universal travel adapter) uses a replaceable 10A fuse with one spare, and the TESSAN adapter (TESSAN universal travel adapter) says it has dual 10A fuse protection with integrated shutters. The VINTAR adapter also lists a standard 10A fuse with double-fuse protection, while the MOMAX adapter mentions a 10A dual fuse for overload and short-circuit protection. If surge protection matters to you, the BatesChoice adapter lists built-in surge protection, while the TESSAN and MOMAX listings both state they do not have surge protection.

Size and Portability

Packing weight and dimensions vary widely. The BatesChoice adapter is listed at 3.2 ounces and 1.4 x 1.4 x 1.9 inches, making it one of the smaller options. The TESSAN adapter lists dimensions of 2.53 x 2.15 x 1.97 inches and a weight of 5.2 ounces. The VINTAR adapter measures 2.1 x 2.1 x 2.8 inches, weighs 5.6 ounces, and includes a storage bag plus an LED power indicator. The UGREEN adapter stands out because its pins fold away when not in use; its listed dimensions are 3.48 x 2.05 x 1.22 inches. The MOMAX adapter’s dimensions are not listed, but its listing highlights a compact GaN design. If a carrying case matters to you, the EPICKA listing explicitly says one is not included.

Voltage Ratings and Converter Warning

The listings for the Ceptics, EPICKA, VINTAR, TESSAN, MOMAX, and UGREEN adapters all state they are not voltage converters. The Ceptics listing says the adapter is not compatible with 110V-only devices such as hair dryers, curling irons, or straighteners. The EPICKA listing gives maximum power ratings of 1100W at 110V and 2400W at 240V, while the VINTAR and TESSAN listings each mention a 2500W maximum for the AC outlet. The MOMAX listing rates the adapter at 100-250V, 50/60Hz, with max 1100W at 110V or 2500W at 250V. These wattage figures are the limits of the pass-through outlet, not a sign that the adapter can run any appliance abroad: none of these adapters change voltage, and the EPICKA listing says it may not be suitable for hair dryers, curling irons, or straighteners. The BatesChoice listing does not mention voltage at all, so treat it as a plug adapter only. In every case, confirm that each device’s label shows the local voltage (for example 100-240V) before plugging it in.

Final Thoughts

Pick the adapter that matches your typical charging load. If you need the highest USB output for a laptop, the MOMAX adapter (MOMAX 70W GaN universal travel adapter) lists 70W from a single USB-C port, though its listing says it lacks surge protection. For a balanced option with a storage bag and LED indicator, the VINTAR adapter (VINTAR 30W universal travel adapter) provides 30W USB charging and covers 150+ countries. If you want a compact adapter with folding pins, the UGREEN adapter (UGREEN 45W 6-port universal travel adapter) covers 200+ countries and supports 45W charging.

For a simple lightweight choice that covers the most common destinations, the BatesChoice adapter (BatesChoice compact universal travel adapter) includes surge protection and weighs 3.2 ounces, though its USB output is not listed. Travelers who want many ports and fuse protection can also look at the EPICKA, which includes a spare fuse, and the TESSAN, which lists dual fuse protection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a universal travel adapter a voltage converter?

No. The Ceptics, EPICKA, VINTAR, TESSAN, MOMAX, and UGREEN listings all state that they do not convert voltage and that your devices must support dual voltage, typically 100-240V. The BatesChoice listing does not mention voltage conversion, so assume it only changes the plug shape. A plug adapter is meant for phones, laptops, cameras, and other dual-voltage electronics, not single-voltage appliances.

How many devices can I charge at once?

Port counts vary. The Ceptics has three USB-A and two USB-C ports; the EPICKA has two USB-A, three USB-C, and one AC outlet; and the VINTAR has three USB-C, two USB-A, and one AC outlet, so each can charge up to six devices. The TESSAN has two USB-C, two USB-A, and one AC outlet for five devices, while the UGREEN has two USB-C, two USB-A, and two AC outlets.

What do the fuses do?

The fuses protect against overcurrent, overload, and short circuits. The Ceptics has an 8A fuse with a spare included; the EPICKA uses a replaceable 10A fuse and includes one spare. The VINTAR lists a standard 10A fuse with double-fuse protection, and the TESSAN and MOMAX listings each mention dual 10A fuse protection.

Will these work in South Africa or India?

Coverage depends on the adapter. The EPICKA listing explicitly excludes South Africa and India. The VINTAR listing says it is not applicable to Type D/M outlets, so it may not work in South Africa. The TESSAN listing says its universal outlet does not accept South African plugs, and its pins cover Types A, C, G, and I rather than D/M. Check the plug types for your destinations before purchasing.
